Children with intellectual and developmental disabilities enjoy summer camps as well as anyone else does. My 10 year old son is intellectually delayed. He looks forward to this camp every summer. In fact, he keeps asking us how many days until camp? He likes to swim, make crafts, sing and learn new skills at summer camp. 2015 End of Summer Guys Youth Camp - Gatlinburg, TN
This is the first youth camp hosted by St. Nofer Youth Meeting. We will be going to Gatlinburg, TN. The Cabin reserved is located in Gatlinburg on one of the highest peaks and the views of Mt. Le Conte are just spectacular, downtown Gatlinburg and Ober Gatlinburg ski resort by day and the beautiful city lights by night. We will have 2 Lectures, PEP talks, spiritual discussions, chats among the youth, a lot of entertainments using the cabin features, all that aside from touring around the city. This Camp will be a guys only camp. Dates: September 25th – 27th (LEAVE FRIDAY at 5:00 PM— RETURN SUNDAY at 8:00 PM) The cost is $85/person (3 days, 2 nights) The cost includes: Cabin, Transportation, and Food Note: TBD attraction (additional cost will be added depending on the attraction). Junior Summer Sports Camp - The Club at Savannah Harbor
Come and have some fun at our Junior Golf and Sports camps this summer! The 5-day camp includes a healthy snack & beverages, prizes and awards. All juniors will also receive a Free Savannah Harbor golf hat! The golf days are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday the kids will learn tennis and go over to the Westin hotel for fun activities such as swimming, live crab races and arts & crafts. 04 Summer Fun Camp 7 Ages 5-12 - Middle School
Camp will meet from Noon-5:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; and from 10:00-5:30pm on Thursday; and from 7:00-5:30pm on Friday. Activities will include: arts and crafts, passive games, educational games, group activity games, sports, strength and conditioning, rhythms, and free play. There will be swimming from 4:00-5:00pm in the Middle School pool. Activities will be geared for children 5-12 years of age. Bring a snack, swim suit and towel. Campers should report to the HS cafeteria and enter door #29 on days that camp starts at Noon. Campers will be escorted to the MS Gym after lunch by camp counselors. When camp begins at 7:00 am campers should report to the Middle School Gym and enter through door #36 In order to register for this activity, you must first click to open the participation waiver and then place your initials in the left box to confirm that you read and agree. Robot Builder - Goleta Presbyterian Church
Campers will learn about the Science of Robotics with historical information, discoveries and advances in robot technology. Newtons Laws will be emphasized all week and each camper will receive three robot kits to work on. Campers will be able to take home their remote controlled robots! This year, Terrific Scientific will be featuring our 3-in-1 All Terrain Robot kit and our 14-1 Solar Robot. In addition to these projects, campers will learn how to solder with our space alarm-soldering project. Learning the skills of wiring, gear building, and soldering will allow campers to go on to more sophisticated robot creations. The 3-in-1 All Terrain Robot is a multi-function tracked mobile robotic kit. Utilize different track modules and make your robot transform into 3 amazing variations: the forklift, rover, and gripper. Using the wired controller, command the robot to move forward, backward, turn, grip and lift. Floor Hockey Camp - Main Street Recreation Center
Check out a one-of-a-kind indoor game that involves the fast pace of real hockey but on a solid surface. During this camp, participants will learn the offensive and defensive fundamentals and mechanics of floor hockey. This camp will include stick handling, passing, shooting and goalie techniques as well as team drills. Participants will also develop endurance, coordination and speed through fast and fun floor hockey games played each day of camp. Each participant should bring a water bottle.
