If you love to draw, sculpt, and think outside-the-box, then you may be a designer at heart! Try your hand at both 2-D & 3-D design projects and get a feel for what its like to be a real designer. Campers will: * Design the treehouse of their dreams! Would it be multiple stories tall and look like a mansion or would it be a single story and have a zipline or a hot tub? Spring Break Camp II - RFK Stadium
D.C. Uniteds Spring Break camps provide participants aged 5 – 16 to experience an exciting soccer environment consisting of modern camp exercises, high-level skills demonstrations, and small-sided competitions. Campers will be exposed to a different set of technical and tactical focuses each day of camp. Coaches will work with players to develop their technical ability as well as discover a better understanding of the game in a fun and energetic environment. All participants will receive an official D.C. United camp ball, an official camp t-shirt, a ticket voucher to a D.C. Session 1: Melanesias Matchless Majesty 03-05 Year Olds - DC Bilingual Public Charter School
REGULAR CAMP This years session themes and cultures of focus include: Melanesias Matchless Majesty, Argentinas Amazing Adventures, Zimbabwes Zesty Zambezi, and Cubas Captivating Coast. Campers will embark on a cultural journey that includes the exploration of nature, geography, music, history, foreign languages, art, science, math, exercise, sports, and literature. Sub-themes are incorporated daily to facilitate a fun and culturally stimulating camp experience. Campers also participate in specialty classes such as chess, cooking, and yoga.BEFORE & AFTER CAMP Before and After Campers will participate in organized games and activities. Science & Cooking - Middle School
Does your child love science? And love to cook? This course is where cooking meets science! In this session, the campers learn about the science that goes behind cooking. But not all recipes are edible! The children will make lots of fun putties and slimes too! From growing yeast to building a radio out of a fruit to baking the yummiest science of all! The children will learn that their kitchen is filled with wonderful products that create some very explosive, gooey, slimy, fun and delicious science! We will build some unique items with basic things from our kitchen, make silly putty, arctic slime, and even play dough with your own scented design. Students build a sandcastle without ever stepping foot on the beach! They also change the properties of chocolate to make their very own chocolate bars!
