Tucked on a corner in the Eastern Market neighborhood of DC, CHAW has been Building community through the arts—and creating lifelong arts patrons and participants—for more than 40 years. CHAW provides inspirational and creative programming for its Youth Arts (after-school and summer camp), Early Childhood, and Adult programs; in addition to producing and supporting public art projects, exhibitions, stage productions, performances, gallery talks, and other arts events throughout the year. By encouraging and nurturing students and artists alike, CHAW delivers an authentic arts experience that leads to a stronger, more vibrant community—inside and outside our walls. June 20 – July 1 | Mon – Fri Half Day: 9:00am – 12:00pm | Full Day: 9:00am – 4:00pm June 2016 will kick off our 8th annual Kid’s Dance Camp. Kid’s Camp at Polaris is designed for students ages 6-12 and offers a full or half day experience, Monday through Friday. Camp is a great way for kid’s to have fun while sampling all that Polaris Dance Theatre has to offer. A typical day at Kid’s Camp includes several dances classes of multiple disciplines including Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Aerial, Tap classes and more! Students also have the opportunity to express their own creativity through improv classes, games and a daily art project.
