Campers will immerse themselves in the natural world as they discover shelter building, map-making, plant identification and animal tracking. Daily storytelling and hiking will be sure to keep everyone active and engaged. With their own survival kit in hand, every camper will be eager to share their new knowledge of and appreciation for the outdoors. All campers will learn from science experts, play learning games, make projects, meet new friends, cool off in Sand Creek and have supervised exploration time. I have a daughter who is 9 and a son who is 11. They both enjoy this 4-H camp because of the friendships they have formed along with the skills they have learned. Lacey Camp (Outdoor) - EXTENDED Session 7 - 2016 - City of Hanford
Grades: K - 12th Morning drop off at Lacey Park; afternoon pick up at the Hanford Teen Center. This weeks theme "End of Summer / Talent Show" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. The park in the summer is hot, please send your child to the park with a bottle of water and sunscreen. Staff will provide an igloo of cold water for refills. Please...

Combine the two most important skills in volleyball in one session! Campers will work on both skills, getting all-important multiple reps. You can never get enough serving practice, so refresh your skills in this camp along with getting passing repetitions as well. *Note: This mini camp will have different drills from the morning session, so those attending both session will not repeat all of the same drills. 713-348-4795
Feathered Friends - Tryon Creek State Natural Area
Tryon Creek is full of feathered friends. Some are bright, some eat insects, and some you can barely see! Campers will meet Audubon Society raptor, and discover what summer time birds live in the park. We will investigate solids and liquids and put out a match without touching it. Explore the wonders of inertia and learn the secret behind the magic table cloth trick. Well put a hole in our hand during an optical illusion class, and use static electricity to make things levitate.
