Just Cruising Equestrian Center Summer Camp Week 1 - Kingdom City, MO
Send your child to our day camps for a great learning opportunity with experienced and dedicated staff, amazing horses, and lots of hands-on crafts and activities! Students will help with care of the horses (feeding, watering, pasture turnout, stall cleaning, etc.) and learn about horse anatomy, colors, breeds, conformation, and tack. The last day of camp includes a mini horse show for parents to come watch what their kids have been learning throughout the week. All levels of riders are welcome, even if students have never ridden before. The cost of the summer camp is $350. A $100 deposit is required to reserve a spot. Camp runs from 8:00 am to 4 pm. Anyone who watches the news regularly can tell you that bullying is an epidemic that has infected the learning experience for so many kids in schools that it must be taken seriously. Bullying can no longer be seen as a possibility, but an unfortunate eventuality. Relying on empathetic bystanders to step up in defense of bullied children is a wonderful idea, but it can be unreliable when a child is left to fend for themselves. So why not plant the seeds of self-confidence in your kids that upstanders have? What is an Upstander? An Upstander is someone who Stands Up for themselves or others when a bullying incident occurs. Most of them already possess empathy and courage, but aren't always equipped to handle the physical or emotional repercussions of their heroism. On each day of our ___ week camp, students will create two different dishes, develop kitchen techniques, and learn about the various cultures our recipes originate from through stories or crafts. They will also bring home a sampling of their dishes! Our camp will end with a Farmers Market visit and cooperative cook-off, in which students will select a fruit or vegetable to build their own recipe with. *Recipes will be vegetarian and allergies will be accommodated.
