I went to Big Lake Youth Camp when I was younger and I always remembered it being the best part of my summer vacation. Now I send my son and he says the same thing. The counselors are super friendly and always helpful to my son. He has made so many new friendships that he’ll keep for many years. Photography & Videography - Palm Harbor Montessori Academy
Members will learn tips to improve picture taking, study the history of photography, and experiment with different types of cameras. Members will go on two field trips during the week. 727-786-1854
Soft Ground Etching (3 classes) - Kala Printmaking Studio
An in-depth course exploring all aspects of soft ground etching and its combination with aquatint, chine colle, and drawing. Students will learn about line and tone etching, shape and texture transfer, and aquatint manipulation. They will create layered prints by the addition of a second plate to the one holding the key design. All levels welcome. Sundays, January 24, 31 & Feb 7 from 11am-5pm $20 Materials Fee payable to the teacher on the first day of class Instructor Bio: Theodora Varnay Jones received her BFA and MFA from The Academy of Fine Arts, Budapest, Hungary. Her prints have received numerous awards from museums, universities and other institutions throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and South America. She has recently exhibited at Fresno Art Museum, Don Soker Gallery, Seattle Art Museum Gallery, and SFMOMA Artists Gallery. This hands on camp gives campers an in-depth look at dogs, cats and small animals. Have some doggone fun in the morning with the Delightful Dog session or come for a purrfect time in the afternoon with Fun Felines and Crazy Critter session. Students will learn different aspects of line, shadow, volume, and composition by working from drawings of the Masters - still life and plein air. Create beautiful still lifes and plein air landscape paintings from photos, models, and nature.
