Sewing Class - Sewing Camp - OFFSITE
This camp is a wonderful opportunity for campers to learn basic sewing skills and make fun, cute projects. Youll make machine-sewn projects that you can take home and show off to your friends and family. If this is your first time sewing, well start you off with some great beginner projects. Theme 3: Energy and Sustainability [Urban Infrastructure] - Wow Science - Voorhees
In this theme, campers will explore how people use and work with energy as they develop and apply concepts of energy sources, energy receivers, energy transfer, energy chains, and energy storage. Specifically, we will conduct projects and experiments under the following topics: sun angle versus heating effect, how we measure energy, a Rube Goldberg energy chain, hydropower, an electric circuit, storing energy up a hill, energy trapped in the earth, model waterwheel, embodied energy, lowering environmental impact, and the greenhouse effect. Under the topic of sustainability, campers will examine the importance of the environmental sustainability of systems and activities related to urban infrastructure. Specifically, they will explore the following topics this summer: planning a sustainable community, solar water heater, solar lamp, evaluating runoff in their neighborhood, local natural hazards, model a biogas collector, build a composting system, and conduct a sustainability audit. Of course topics and associated activities will vary based on camp cohort – junior, main, or teen camp. Survivor Camp (Ages: 5-12) - Savoy Recreation Center
We will split the campers into "tribes" similar to the popular TV reality series. Survivor campers will get the chance to compete in "survival games" and enjoy the outdoors in this fun-filled camp! Be sure to wear clothes you can get dirty. Sports Camp - Footsteps@Cipriani
Back by popular demand, Footsteps Sports Camp led by Coach Adrian! This is a fun and interactive camp for campers who want to explore different sports and non-competitive games. Our camp promotes cooperation, teamwork, and everyone participating. Campers participate in soccer, flag football, dodge ball, tennis, swimming, and a variety of outdoor games. Friday afternoons the campers swim at local pools and take a weekly sports related field trip. Adrian and his staff of coaches make sure the day is balanced with two healthy snacks and time indoors out of the sun! Pop Star Camp - Session I - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
Dream of being a pop star? Then come to camp and start that journey! Learn vocals and choreography to Taylor Swift and Katy Perrys most popular songs among others! Take the stage and perform with cordless mics under the LED and laser lights! We will learn choreography and vocals to a medley of songs and put on a performance at the end of camp.
