Mott Boys Youth Basketball Camp - Waterford Mott High School
Boys - Grades 3 - 6 Waterford Mott Boys Basketball Coaches and Players will run a basketball camp this summer focusing on fundamentals, offensive and defensive skills, and developing character on and off the court. Camp fee includes a t-shirt. Illinois FC Soccer Camp (Ages: 7-12) - Jones Park
Camp will focus on technical and tactical development of each player including dribbling, passing & receiving, finishing, and defending. Coaches will use individual and small group activities, small-sided games, and world-cup style tournaments throughout the week to help each player enhance their skills. Players will be grouped by age and skill and will learn from experienced, licensed Illinois FC staff coaches. All players receive a free Illinois FC T-shirt. Week 6 PM - Wave Monkeys - NESS
Waves, waves and more waves! If you are a monkey and love being in the water and riding on waves, then this week is for YOU! We will be testing our water riding skills out on as many different types of boats & boards that we can. Boogie boarding, surfing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. This is the ultimate water adventure, testing your core, balance and fitness. This class has been specifically designed for ages 9 – 12 years old so no experience is necessary as long as you are comfortable on and in the water. We will teach you the basics! Mad Science - Eureka! - CenterPoint Energy Community Center
While Thomas Edison said invention is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration, this camp is 100% FUN! Children will overcome a series of challenges using basic materials, simple machines, tips from famous inventors and most importantly - their mind! With a little bit of ingenuity children will create catapults and forts, construct working light sticks to take home and assemble a set of circuits with batteries and light bulbs. Fun Filled Field Trips - Old Trail School
Fun-filled field trips will be taken each day to enable campers to explore the exciting opportunities available in our community. Each morning will begin with a short educational reading and activity related to the field trip. Lunch will be eaten on the trip and a thematic afternoon snack will be provided. Each location offers campers the opportunity to play and explore. Campers should pack their own lunch. Field trips include: Cleveland Zoo, Great Lakes Science Center, Natural History Museum and Lake Farm Parks. Trips will be arranged according to weather and lunch should be packed in brown paper sacks or plastic bags to allow for easy disposal while on field trips.
