Understanding Maps - The Evergreen School
In this class, students will explore a variety of different kinds of maps. By playing geography games and participating in fun activities, students will create a variety of maps, including cartograms, choropleths, dot maps, proportional symbol maps, maps with isolines, and flow maps. This class will also include a component on learning how to read a map to navigate. 206-957-1533
Girls entering Grade 6 in Fall 2016 - Huddart Park
Campers entering grade 6 are grouped in units with girls of their own age/grade and are supervised by trained staff members and program aides. Campers participate in a wide variety of activities including earning badges, hiking, outdoor cooking, learning outdoor skills, crafts, games, singing and more. Girls entering grade 6 in Fall 2016 will be going horseback riding one day during the first week of camp (additional waiver form required for this activity). Girls are will spend the night at camp on Wednesday, July 27th with their unit. Identify and investigate animals of Yellowstone! Observe and compare predator and prey relationships in a safe and FUN environment. Your camper will create their own happily ever after! Afternoon Only (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm) Magical Muggles– Still waiting for your Hogwarts letter? So are we! This camp will be for us muggles ready to learn some magic! We will make our own wands, play quidditch, craft potions and get sorted into Houses. Let the magic begin!
