Shake off winter and visit Camp Long for a day of fun outdoor experiences! Camp Long is celebrating its 75th birthday, and what better way to celebrate than to put the camp though its paces. Youth Outdoor Adventure Day will be a free day of fun activities open to the public, for boys and girls aged 10-20. Planned activities include: archery, high-wire challenge course, rock climbing, rifle shooting, dutch oven cooking, orienteering, fire building, tomahawk throwing, geocaching, robotics, and s'more!

Hosted this month by Camp Barnabas, providing us a FREE lunch at their office location in Springfield! Leaders will have the opportunity to "connect" with other youth leaders in ministry, and to share ideas and resources! Bring printed material on events you would like to promote to share with the group. You will hear about some great opportunities for ministry through this camp for special needs students. This will also be our "elections" business session at 11:15 prior to lunch. All voting members are encouraged to be present. Also, those who want may join the Coordinator to be praying for our campuses, students, and leaders about 30 min. prior to the start. Semester-long technique classes are designed to give beginning dancers an opportunity to learn foundational skills in ballet, tap and jazz dance. All students perform in demonstrations or recitals held in conjunction with CHAW-wide performance festivals at the end of each session. Are you looking for a chance to strengthen and reinforce math skills learned during the school year? Would you like to start the next school year at the top of your game? If so, this camp is for you! Attendees will re-visit and review grade- level skills in this fun interactive camp! We will play math games, solve mathematical puzzles, and much more--all while reinforcing key math concepts! Patty Soemer holds a Masters degree in education from Liberty University and has taught various subjects to a variety of ages for the past 21 years. Rainforest Adventure Camp - NEW! Your child has the chance to embark on a "Rainforest Adventure" this summer. Campers combine art and engineering skills to conceive and construct the four layers of the rainforest. Walking the "camouflage trail" campers learn the importance of animal adaptation and what can be done to help protect our fragile ecosystems. On the last day, campers will present forest facts and escort their parents on an exciting rainforest tour.
