Jr. Grossologist - San Juan Del Rio Catholic School
Campers will discover loads of horribly fantastic experiments in Camp Jr. Grossologist! Campers learn about the science of "gross things" through our exciting chemistry and biology experiments! This is science with the squishy bits left in it! Ew! Gross! Blegh! Sample Projects: Bulging Bag of Brains! Simulated Snot! Baby Diaper Dissection! Owl Pellet Dissection! and much, much more! StagePlay: Jr. Musical Theater Camp - Palos Park Recreation Center
Unlike the "olden days", when fun was dependent on whatever was readily available, so much of todays youth leisure time is spent staying connected through technology. What would happen if suddenly all that went away? "A Kids Life" will explore that possibility, and thats where the fun and music all begin! The StagePlay program also incorporates valuable life lessons such as teamwork, commitment, conquering fear, being prepared, confidence and theater etiquette. On the last day of camp, our talented young stars perform for friends and family, showing off all that they have learned in only one week. Participants will receive a souvenir camp t-shirt. Whats Up With Water? (7/25/16 to 7/29/16) - Aurora
Where is all our water? Is water a renewable resource? In this program participants will explore this question through hands-on water chemistry experiments and other investigations that will help explain why access to clean fresh water has become one of our WGP---Worlds Greatest Problems---and why we need to solve it. Participants will develop a website to communicate what they have learned as well as explore other technical solutions that can help us all make every drop count! (630)9075950

Spiritual Emphasis: Our counselors take every opportunity to minister to the campers spiritual needs through Bible study and personal interaction. We seek to integrate a biblical worldview in all our time we spend together. We understand this is a great opportunity not only to ell the campers about Gods Word, but also to show them how it is related to everyday life. Paul said it well when he wrote, "For me to live is Christ." That is what we model here for our campers. Social Emphasis: We also understand the importance of your child meeting and learning to work together with other children and adults. We will help them learn positive ways to make friends and guide them in being friends to others. Teamwork will also be taught through various games and activities. Physical Emphasis: No couch potatoes here! We dont want our campers to just hang out and waste their day so we work at keeping them going.
