Lets Draw with Kidcreate Studio - Hopkins Campus
If it is drawing, sketching, and cartooning youre after, then this is the camp for you! In this introductory drawing camp, well learn basic techniques and principles of drawing as we create puppies, ponies, people and more. Creativity will flow from your artist as they learn from their very own How to Draw take-home booklet. Each day well learn the simple step-by-step methods essential to creating memorable drawings. Camp-Half Day Week 1: Cosmic Creations (ages 9-12) - Leland Cultural Arts Center
This camp is a creative combination of art and space. Campers will use visual arts to explore the final frontier! Two dimensional projects, such as drawing, painting, and collage, will focus on design elements such as color, line, and shape. Using clay, campers will take inspiration from textures and patterns found in space when they learn the basics of hand building techniques and out-of-this-world wheel throwing. Exploring Precious Metal Clay with Christopher Beaver - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Times vary: Friday 6-8pm, Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. This class will explore the very basics of metal clay with the incredibly humorous and tallented Christopher Beaver. No previous experience or skills necessary. Have you ever wanted to work with metal but have been scared off by the metal smithing process? Here is your chance to explore the world of precious metal clay – a fantastic clay material that is permeated with microscopic elements of pure metals. The clay is formed and placed in a kiln and – viola! – you pull out a pure piece of solid silver. Required for this this class is a great sense of humor, a willingness to learn, the ability to laugh at your own mistakes and letting your teacher drop the "f bomb" on occasion (it happens).
