Things are coming into place fast for Bethel's Student ministry, Beta Sigma, to have our very own summer camp, designed specificaly by and for Bethel students and their friends. Many exciting details are still falling into place, but some very important ones are already set: - Our worship band for the whole week is The Hardcastles, our camp worship band for the last two years at Camp Eagle. - Our speaker is former hockey player, youth evangelist and long time youth pastor, Shawn Roberts, who has spoken to thousands upon thousand of students and seen thousands come to know Christ. - Activities we know we'll have: river tubing, swimming, gaga ball, ulimate, football, hiking, square dancing, bow and arrow tag, airsoft, bonfires, small group talks, team challenges, camp challenges... - Best of all, we'll be serivng the community and the camp throughout the week doing service project. - So many more things to come, shirts, journals, themed meals and more...we'll keep you updated as things move. 3-year olds (who are toilet trained) to children entering Kindergarten may enroll for 5, 3 OR 2 half days of preschool. A small class size of 8 students to 1 early childhood certified teacher enhances learning. The groundwork for early language, math and science skills is formed utilizing multi-sensory, child-centered activities. A unique phonics-based teaching system brings the alphabet to life, as it lays the foundation for reading. Each session is 4 weeks long - 5 day option: Monday-Friday - 3 day option: Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 2 day option: Tuesday, Thursday *Please consider sending your 4 or 5 year olds to our PreK kindergarten readiness Camps (see "2016 Summer Themed Camps" and look for PreK camps). These afternoon sessions are an opportunity for your 4 or 5 year old to prepare for a full day of school. Each child earns points for participating in our kids Prerace clinic and kids triathlon towards super series awards! Healthy post clinic refreshments and race goodies! EVENT DETAILS AND SCHEDULE Clinic is Saturday, Mar. 5, from 2:30-4:30p. Meet in gazebo by Bonelli Park, South Shores Parking lot near Transition Area/Race Expo Site. Youll dive so deep into storytelling that it will make your head spin as you work with an award-winning filmmaker, writer of comic books, animations, and screenplays; teacher at film schools, universities, and PIXAR Animation Studio. With him youll be conversing about the basics of story telling, listening to them, watching them on tapes, and improvising them. By the end of the week, you will have a giant bag of great storytelling tools and techniques for however you want to use them: acting, telling, writing, or knowing why youve just witnessed one.
