Swim, Tennis and Flag Football Camp - Community Services Department - City of Palo Alto
Please sign up early for our popular tennis, flag football & swim camps held at Palo Altos Rinconada Park and Pool. Participants start each day with a tennis lesson 10-11:30am from the staff of Tennis program. Following tennis, the participates will eat with swim staff to eat from 11;30 am until 12:30 pm in the Rinconada Park. Following lunch the participates will head out to the field to engage in flag football from 12:30-2:30 pm with the Skyhawks coaching staff. After Skyhawks flag football, the participants will head over to the Rinconada Pool where they will enjoy swimming lessons, water games and be supervised by our lifeguards. Cost includes tennis lessons, soccer lessons, entrance to recreation swim, and supervision. Participants should bring a bag lunch, tennis racket, bathing suit, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a towel each day. Ages 8-12. Pre and Post Care will be available before and after this camp. Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of serious injury and/or death of children. This camp is taught by those who respond to those types of incidents each day in an effort to reduce the numbers of injuries that occur each year. The camp includes sessions on bike safety, fire safety, 911 procedure, water safety, personal safety, electrical safety, outdoor safety and first aid - all in an informative and fun atmosphere. The knowledge campers learn will allow them to make the right decisions when faced with unsafe conditions. Safety Camp is intended for children entering 4th grade the fall of 2016.
