The summer will be gone before we know it, but we are still galloping full speed ahead which is why Tomten Farm and Sanctuary will be offering a special mentoring program to animal loving kids ages 11-16. This unique program is designed for kids with the desire to learn more about the day-to-day operations of an animal sanctuary and get hands on experience with our rescues. Taught by our long term volunteer and intern, UNH Equine Science major, Aileen W., it’s sure to be chock of personal attention, education, hard work, and more animals than you can count. Join us at the farm 2-3 weekdays from July 10th to the 31st, 10:30-2:30 and help us go above and beyond to maintain happy, healthy animals 365 days a year. Animal Academy - Humane Society of West Michigan
Do you like spending time with animals of all types? Do you want to make a difference in the lives of shelter animals by volunteering? Then this is the camp for you! Campers will learn various aspects of being an HSWM volunteer. All graduates of Animal Academy will receive a one year membership to Junior Volunteer Club. This club meets twice a month during the school year to let kids volunteer without a parent. Cost includes JVC membership. 616-791-8066
