Create a lake in a bottle, jump in to the science of sports, and let your nose be your guide on a trail of scents. A week of hands-on experiments will increase your understanding of our good ship Earth. Learn how animals are camouflaged and go on the hunt for scents and tracks as you take a walk on the wild side of science. Dissect owl pellets and build a strong structure to crawl inside. We will look at it all from nature to pollution to sports to animals. NE/IA Camp Woodmen is a week filled with swimming, outdoor laser tag, archery, climbing wall and zipline (campers ages 12-15) and fun for all! Wild Things! A Big Zoo Revue - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
The return of a Palace favorite! Filled with animals dancing and singing, Wild Things! A Big Zoo Revue is an inspirational musical trip through the zoo. The humorous and at times very touching lyrics, original and famous poems as optional text for each song and even science activities create a wonderful teaching and learning experience and an awesome performance opportunity! Campers will learn how to make several delicious and fun dishes. Meals are prepared and our restaurant opens at the end of the week for family and friends. A prorated refund of fees, less a $20 cancellation fee, will be granted to students who attend the first class if the request is made before the second camp day. Students who transfer from one camp to another will be charged a $20 transfer fee.
