Students will get hands-on time with LEGOs and free build creations of their choice. They will also use LEGO Digital Designer on the computers in the lab, experimenting with 3D drawings and computer-aided design. Its a fun time with LEGOs and begin practicing to describe their creations and presenting them to parents and teachers on the last day. Y5s are welcomed to join us for this class. World Cooking - The Evergreen School
Students will be learning how to make simple dishes from several different cultures. Their kitchen experiences will be supplemented by fun activities highlighting the region the food comes from. Children should be prepared for a week of yummy eating with a cultural learning experience included. 206-957-1533

All activities this week will revolve around sports. We will allow the children to select several sport related activities to participate in each day. These events can be anything from soccer,baseball/softball, tennis, ultimate Frisbee, cheerleading and other miscellaneous sports. We hope to provide campers with the opportunity to play various sports or sports related activities throughout the week. Develop quick and accurate typing skills in this practical computer program. Daily lessons will include touch-typing techniques, drill sessions to improve accuracy, and tutorials in Microsoft Word & Excel. Tailored activities for beginner or advanced computer-users make this a valuable experience in preparing for the next step in every students career. Flip for our Gymnastics Camps this summer. Whetstone Community Center offers one-week gymnastics camps for girls and boys beginner through advanced levels. Campers will participate in a skills test the first day to place them in an appropriate level. Both weeks offer gymnast instruction on the following apparatuses: Vault, Balance Beam, Bars, and Floor. Campers will participate in group as well as art activities. On Fridays of each week, campers will also get to participate in a themed performance to showcase their abilities in front of family and friends. Ages 13-14 must be a level 4 to attend. Flexible drop off time between 7:30-9 am. Flexible pick up time between 4-6 pm. Breakfast and lunch provided.
