Over this 8 week session, girls will apply math, science, and engineering concepts to build a tetrahedron kite and a mouse trap car. Through an understanding of geometry, structures, aerodynamics, velocity, and more, girls will use multiple construction methods and materials to bring their projects to life! Albany Gems Summer Youth Dance Camp - Albany, OR
The Gems are hosting their 2nd Annual Summer Dance Camp on July 16-17th, 2016. This is a two day camp for 1st - 8th grade dancers of all abilty and skill levels. All classes will be held in the main facility at the Albany Boys and Girls Club. Both days will run from 8:00am - 3:00pm. This give LOTS of time for parents to get some stuff done while we entertain your kiddos! Classes will be split up by level and experience so that everyone is in a class they are comfortable with. Classes will be divided into Mini, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Class descriptions will be posted later in the comments. Dancers will stretch and warm up together, learn a entire camp dance, learn level appropriate dance routines, practice technical skills that apply to all dancers, and dancers will be given snack and lunch breaks both days. At the end of the second day (3:00pm) there will be a family and friends show so that your dancers can show you what they've been working on. We have INCREDIBLE instructors coming from ALL over the State of Oregon to give your kiddos the BEST experience possible! ...

Kids ages 5-12 will enjoy weaving with natural and recycled materials, and felting with naturally dyed alpaca fleece. Featuring special guest Phylleri Ball of Three Sisters Weaving. Kids will love spending this beautiful Fall day in the mountains of Nederland, outside of Boulder and Denver. This fun filled camp is intense and filled with training that is unique to this event. Learn knife and star throwing, Krav Maga, Combat Weapons, Team Sparring, ATA Xtreme, Team Building Drills and a lot more. We finish the training on Saturday night with a huge bonfire and smores! It is guaranteed to be one of the best events of the year and is open to ages 12 and above. Cost: $249 for 1st familymember, $199 for 2nd + (cost covers food and lodging)

August 8-12th Winona River Rats - Jaycees Pavilion
Learn and create riverside games using found rocks, sticks, and whatever else the river gives us. Build miniature test rafts and race them. Build a rafts large and small. Learn about useful and edible aquatic plants and animals. Track aquatic creatures along riverbank including the beaver, muskrat, heron, raccoon and more. Build primitive forts. Make and fish with a simple cane pole just like Huck and Tom. Use cane pole as part of stick and bindle (hobo satchel) to carry your goods during your travels. Search for treasures to fill your bindle. Barter and trade for each others treasures. 507-272-5320

Join the RailHawks and learn how to sharpen your defensive skills and maximize your opportunities for success. RailHawks professional defenders will teach fundamental skills of defending including individual body position, tackling, heading, and small-group defending tactics such as pressure, cover, and balance.
