03rd 2016 Camp, Buckaroo DAY Camp - Blue Point Stables
This Camp is a 5 (Five) Day Buckaroo Day Camp. Camp begins each day at 9:00 EST and ends at 4:00 pm in the afternoon. The Wednesday Night Overnight stay is offered only as an option, and has an additional charge. Campers are not required to select this option. Campers will be assigned a horse to ride and care for. In the larger enrollment classes, campers share assigned horses. Activities that the campers will be involved with are... Riding Lessons (generally twice a day, weather permitting) Grooming, Stall Care & Management, Equine Characteristics, Arts and Crafts, Horse Health and Welfare and Swimming Pool fun at the end of each day. Plus, making friends or renewing previous relationships with new and returning campers alike. Campers have the option to purchase and challenge the test for a CHA riding level. Campers receive the appropriate CHA Riding Level Book. Successful campers are awarded the appropriate Certificate, Patch and Pin. Campers falling below the testing standards are allowed to retest. Day campers will need to bring appropriate clothing for each day, to include layered warm clothing on cooler days and rain gear when needed, as well as, their lunches, snacks and drinks for each... 865-376-9312

Saturday Discovery with Nelli Shevelkina (Ages 6-11) - Young People
Skills in the visual arts are built in the same way as learning to play a musical instrument or sport: by practicing and training, and by challenging you with new techniques and ideas. In Drawing and Discovery, young artists ages 6-11 will explore fundamental concepts of line, texture, shading, and color through the fun, creative, and age-appropriate projects. Students will try their hand at figure drawing, portraits, volume and perspective, and experiment with professional art materials. Students will work independently or as a group according to their age, level of experience, personal interest and individual artistic style. Note: This class will be offered continuously during the year, allowing students to progressively develop skills in visual literacy, perception and creativity progressively. At Winema 1st High School Camp, we work hard to provide the best of both camp and conference experiences through dynamic worship, engaging sessions, amazing activities and authentic and long-lasting relationships with fellow teens and adult leaders. Its a week that you wont want to miss. Our aim is for the campers to experience Gods love in Jesus Christ and have the opportunity to hear His call upon their lives. Feathers, Fur, and Scales - Vasona Lake County Park
Investigate different kinds of animals from head to toe and from the inside out. Learn how snakes slither and eat without chewing. Study one of natures greatest predators and understand the unique features that allow owls to see small objects in the dark and look behind themselves. Examine bones, fur, feathers, claws, teeth, scales, and skeletons to learn more about these and many other animal adaptations. Horsemanship Summer Camp - 2 day - Dunham Woods Farm
Dunham Woods Farm is a top-notch equestrian facility dedicated to providing the best instruction available for over 50 years. Our teachings are based on tradition and looking to the future. You?ll learn all about the proper ways to groom, tack and handle horses. In the saddle you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. You?ll learn tons of cool information about breeds, colors, markings of horses and more! Games and other activities will be included as well. Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet and a sack lunch!
