Rookie/Amateur Tennis - Winnemac Park (Amundsen High School)

Snowy Daze - Old Trail School
Its snowing in June! Inspired by the movie Frozen, campers will explore all things snowy... summer style! Building a snowless snowman, taking a field trip to an ice cream shop, designing their own mittens, ice skating, creating snow dough, making snow cones, and more! Frozen songs, stories and games will have campers relive the magic of Elsa, Anna and Olaf and other friends from Arendelle! The week will conclude with a gourmet hot chocolate bar- complete with all the fixings! Game Design: McDonald - McDonald International School
Students in Game Design will have the opportunity to create a video game using Kodu Game Lab! Our theme is "Sea Life". Your child will utilize the sea creatures, objects and "bots" in order to save the underwater environment from toxic dredge and ooze. Students will learn to program an underwater submarine to clean up the ocean floor and defend our sea life. We will build the seafloor with the terrain tools, add sealife and objectives. Students will learn how to program scoreboards and timers in order to tell their story and program enemy bots. MultiSport - Brookwood School
Do you love to move, run, and be active? Do you like to play sports and be part of a team? If so, Program Director Monika Carbochova is ready for you to join the fun! This high-energy camp will explore the following sports: soccer, flag football, Wiffle ball, kickball, ultimate Frisbee, and anything else we can find to have fun outside. Floor hockey, basketball, and indoor games can also give relief from summer storms or heat. Enjoy 3 hours of the most delicious game buffet. Have fun with friends; keep fit; and master new skills. Writing for 9th and 10th Grade - Seattle Preparatory School
Students will strengthen their academic writing skills through reading, interpreting, and writing contemporary poems. This is an opportunity for students to focus on the specific details of a texts word choice, structure, imagery, and symbolism, both as readers and as creative writers. (Its amazing how much more deeply you can understand whats happening in literature when you try your hand at crafting it!) Its also a chance for students to practice developing arguments by choosing strong evidence and providing insightful analysis. Taught by Ms. Jen Dotsey.
