2016 Junior Golf Camp #2 - Botetourt County Recreation Department
Botetourt County and The Golf Academy at Ashley have joined forces to offer summer Junior Golf Camps. From the registraiton fees of $165.00 ($50 deposit, $115.00 payable at camp), each child will receive: 12 hours of professional group instruction by Jeff Sprinkel , Ashley Plantation logo shirt, use of range balls, entry fee and green fee for tournament, daily prizes and tournament prizes, free camp group picture, video instruction, PGA Junior Golf Foundation Membership Card, Rules of Golf booklet, PGA Junior Golf Foundation Certificate, reduced green fees outside camp sessions, free awards cookout on Friday and a full agenda of golfing activities. This camp is limited, so call now to reserve your spot. Camp- Visual Arts Camp-Teen M-F 4 pm (Ages 13-15) - Beck Center for the Arts
This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Teen artists wishing to expand and deepen their understanding of arts experiences will want to join in this popular and intensive summer camp. Students of all skill levels will be engaged in the creative process through a variety of classic art mediums and techniques including painting, drawing, pottery making, printmaking, and more in a way they may not have time for during the school year. Because of the multi-media nature of this camp, there will be an emphasis on guiding teens to try new methods and embrace creativity! Artists should wear clothing that can get dirty during the creation of art. Music Theater Camp - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
Our most popular camp every summer! We provide a comprehensive program of intensive classes in a wide variety of theater performing arts, each taught by a working professional in that field. Students train for 3 weeks, five days a week, in the 3 disciplines of musical theater - dance, music, and acting in addition to rehearsing a full musical which will culminate in one of our main stage productions. Developing the ability to sustain concentration throughout the process is one of the most important skills that students take away from the program. Along with the daily basic skills work, students will learn and grow attending separate workshops such as audition preparation, bringing songs to life, how to conquer your nerves and life in the business from professionals that are IN the business! This camp is for the serious singing actor. You will work with professionals from the local DFW stages as well as Broadway and Opera! San Jose Museum of Art - San Jose Museum of Art
The San Jose Museum of Art, full-day art camps offer in-depth art experiences for South Bay youth. Our campers gain access to the Museums galleries outside of normal operating hours as they discover artistic design principles through drawing, painting, and sculpting techniques! Led by Museum faculty and inspired by our current exhibitions, the Museums popular Art Camps teach kids how to look at, talk about, and create their own art. Each student receives an art supply kit containing all the materials they need, and the camp culminates in a one-day public exhibition of student work. Young artists explore drawing, painting mixed media, sculpture, and design as they visit the galleries to gather inspiration from exhibited artwork.
