I supposed if you're going to a summer camp it should be in a beautiful setting. Camp Togowoods doesn't disappoint! My daughter and her BFF had what they called a "super awesome fun time" at the camp this past summer. This summer they volunteered for kitchen duty. Week 5 AM - Fishing - NESS
Summer is the best time of year for fishing, but you need the knowledge of fish habits to help narrow down the best fishing areas by boat and from shore. Open to both experienced and new anglers. Learn the basics of a variety of styles of fishing including rod and reel trolling, bottom fishing, fly fishing, clamming and lobster fishing. Students will also learn about tying knots, baiting hooks, cleaning gear, and practicing fishing safety. Become more aware of local fisheries and fishing impacts. We practice catch and release only. Students should bring their own fishing rods and tackle ready for use. Some NESS rods are available and bait will be provided, please call to inquire. 860-535-9362

Shakespeare Intensive - The Arts Center
Four of Shakespeares plays will be studied over the course of 8 weeks; Midsummer Nights Dream, Julius Caesar, Richard the Third, Romeo and Juliet and The Tempest. Each week scenes will be analyzed rehearsed and the next week performed. Outside rehearsal will be a necessity for this class. The more time you put in the greater the reward! You See Dirt, We See Art! - Emma Davidson - Touchstone Center for Crafts
Take a step into a whimsical world of creation and imagination when you enter Touchstones enchanted forest. You will embark on a journey between worlds, as we create beautiful art from nature. Whether you are painting with mud or building a collaborative sculpture, this week of wonder and intrigue is one you dont want to miss! Working outside and in the studio, individually and collaboratively, you will end this week with greater art making skills and a better understanding of our surrounding world. Emma Davidson earned her BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Between 2012 and 2015, she was on staff at Touchstone Center for Crafts and worked as a teaching artist for various organizations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Currently, Emma is living Juneau, Alaska, where she is enjoying a year-long, dual art and teaching residency at the Canvas. Her artwork has exhibited in several states and are part of SCADs permanent collection. 724-329-1370
