Come have a fun week with Ms Winn as we explore different types media as accents to polymer clay. We will use acrylic paint, watercolor, paper, cardboard, colored pencils, ink, oil pastels and a little glitter. EVERY Saturday is Kids Play Night at Tree Frog Treks! Drop off & pick up anytime between our hours of 5:30-9:00 pm at our event pad, Frog Hall at 2114 Hayes Street, for enriching evening childcare! Then go out and have an adults-only night on the town while your kids: - Meet lizards, frogs, snakes & tortoises like Thorny the Bearded Dragon & Stickum the Frog - Do fun, creative, hands-on science & art projects from clay critters to puppets - Munch on pizza and healthy snacks - Develop literacy skills by reading a book and then enjoying a fun movie. FRIDAY : Pre & K Program - Archaeological Mysteries - The Philadelphia School
Join us for an exciting day exploring archaeological mysteries of various ancient cultures. Students will learn about the construction of a pyramid and create a three- dimensional, textural model of this ancient wonder. They will create personal cylinder seals by carving ancient symbols into a rolled cylinder and then imprint this image into slabs of clay. We will also design relief replicas of a series of ancient Geoglyphs located in the Nazca Desert in Peru known as Nazca Lines. Choice games, indoor and outdoor activities and a mid-morning snack of a delicious Turkish food will be provided. Please have your child bring a lunch including a beverage. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch. Students are required to wear a red t-shirt on all trips. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with drop-off available in the yard beginning at 8:00 a.m. (at no extra charge). **Extended day is available from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. for an additional $20.
