Kallpachay makes it easy and joyful for kids to learn Spanish in a camp or class setting with their peers. Our themes are designed to draw out our campers natural curiosity and desire to try new things. Native counselors engage campers in fun activities such as dance, yoga, sports, cooking, crafts, singing, cheers, silly games and more. Our games are perfect opportunities for campers to practice using the new words they are learning. It is the counselors playful and encouraging nature that makes it a joyful experience for all our campers. Our camp settings are bright and spacious with plenty of outdoor space for supervised breaks and outdoor games and sports. Awareness, avoidance, and physical techniques are all key features of self-defense training. This camp for both girls and boys will focus on concepts and techniques that are practical, simple and applicable to todays world. Discussion on potential threats and negative situations will be included along with tips for avoiding danger and physical practice for self-protection. Our experienced instructor will facilitate the building of a safe, fun learning environment in this invaluable camp! Our staff is made of several high school and college baseball and softball players who are great at teaching their sport and who make Diamond Sports Week extremely fun. Featured Fieldtrip - Thursday, June 23 - Minnesota Twins vs. Philadelphia Phillies (first pitch 12:05pm) FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9am-4pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7am and picked up as late as 6pm. In this short 6 week class students will be able to learn what directors are looking for in the audition process. Students will have group vocal training as well as be given a song to work on for a solo audition, students will learn acting tips, and learn simple choreography. Special Features: Specific goalie instruction, individual position work, emphasis on shooting and team tactics as well as everyone will participate in the camp tournament. Check In & Pick Up Information Check In - Resident & Day Campers: Check in will be between 4:00 - 4:30 pm on the first day at the dorms. A long water session will be this evening. Pick Up - Resident & Day Campers: Camp concludes at 11:45 AM on the final day of camp at the Avery Aquatic Center.
