TAC Summer Camp: Surface Design: Ages 11+12 - Week 6 - Brooklyn Studio
Through daily exposure to textile media, campers explore new avenues of creativity, improve their dexterity, and make new friends while learning about historical and contemporary use of the fiber arts. In addition to structured class and craft time there is daily free play and outdoor time, weather permitting. Campers aged 11-12 visit TAC daily, for project-based classes inspired by their weekly field trip to a current textile related exhibition in New York. May 10,17,24,31, June 7, 14 (Ages 6-10) Rockland Ice Arena Our spring skills sessions will focus on improving the fundamental skills that make a complete hockey player. Our certified staff and Pro Hockey instructors will teach skating stride, edges, puck handling, shooting, passing proficiency and overall hockey competency. Our approach for teaching these skills will be challenging yet fun. Players will be introduced to fresh drills and techniques that will make them better all-around players There will be a special emphasis on skating Skating is the foundation of our game and we have put together an opportunity that puts 100% focus on all aspects of skating. Week 1 AM - Geocaching In Your Kayak - NESS
Learn basic navigation to participate in the fun hobby of Kayak Geocaching! Geocaching is a real life treasure hunt using a device that has GPS. Use charts, compasses, navigation, and GPS to track your kayak path. Make an item to let other geocachers know weve discovered a particular treasure, participate in the first ever NESS geocache kayak trail and go geocaching in different locations around Stonington and beyond!
