This is a mandatory final camp meeting for all parents of kids who will be attending Kid's Camp this year. We will meet directly following 2nd service in the Gen Kids Room. The remaining camp balance and concessions money is due at the conclusion of this meeting. Additionally, the Camp Waiver form will be provided at this meeting. We will discuss last minute details, things to pack, and answer any questions. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
Team Jesus Kid's Fishing Day - Mobile, AL
Join us on Saturday, May 21 for our annual Kid’s Fishing Day at Camp Grace, sponsored by Team Jesus Ministries, led by Terry Chupp here in Mobile. All fishing equipment will be furnished and the first 300 kids will receive a free rod and reel. The event will feature air-ups, face painting and plenty of fun for the whole family. Star Wars Robotics and Engineering Camp - The Surge Community Center
Live the excitement of Star Wars™ in a one of a kind Lego Summer Camp where children build incredible and unique creations from the Star Wars™ universe – unlike anything that theyve built before. Bring these favorite Star Wars™ creations to life by designing and constructing remote-controlled vehicles, robots and spaceships employing Lego Technic parts and up to four Lego Technic motors. Through building complex, unique, and exciting projects and understanding the dynamic mechanisms associated with them, summer camp students gain knowledge on engineering principles, scientific theories and facts about the universe. Campers will also learn how the scientific method helps give us the answers to our many questions. Well be very busy in this camp while exploring projects and experiments in topics such as chemistry, physics, engineering, biology, and MORE! This camp is perfect for the most curios little scientists, ages 4 and 5. Sample Projects: Glowing firefly, Seashell necklace, Slime Creation, Water Bottle Rocketry. Technique Portion: Coach John Azevedo covers his fundamental inside tie series that he made famous at Calvary Chapel and also at Cal Poly. Also covered: fundamental escapes from the bottom, Recovery and sit outs & Top rides. Intensive Training: Coach Matt Azevedo will once again run our Intensive portion of this session. They will focus on teaching conditioning and weight training along with how to sustain proper nutrition and mental focus at elite levels.
