LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Percussion Camp - MPLS - MacPhail Center for Music - Mpls
Build your skills on all percussion instruments in this intensive and fun five-day camp. Each day you will play exciting music in small percussion ensembles with other students of similar ability and skill level on a variety of instruments. Students will have the opportunity to select clinics that focus on specific instruments such as drum set, snare drum, timpani and mallet keyboard instruments. During the week students will also learn practical skills such as making their own mallets and tuning their own snare drum. All student ensembles will perform for family and friends on the last day of camp. Students must have one year of band of a year of private instruction in preparation for this camp. Students outside of the age range but who have had comparable experience may contact the camp coordinator, Bob Adney, at 612-767-5410, for placement. Unique Summer Camps Just For Ages 9-13: Pioneer Camp - Grove, OK
July 18-21, Pioneer Camp, 9:30am-noon, $60 Have you ever wondered how the Pioneers lived long ago? This camp will allow you to experience many of the daily experiences of that time period bringing history to life. Print on a printing press, weave on a loom, learn how a blacksmith creates metal objects, dip candles and play with old-fashioned toys. Explore the items in “Grandmother’s Trunk” and learn how they were used, and cook on the hearth in Har-Ber Village’s Living History Cabin.

Summer Teen Camp - Brevard, NC
This summer we will be going to camp on week 10. That will be August 3rd – 8th. The evangelist will be Tom Farrell. Every teen and junior is invited to join us for summer camp. Teen campers must be 12 years old by September 1, 2015 and junior campers must be at least 9 years old by September 1, 2015. The cost for teen campers is $345.00, if you register before February 1st you will save $50.00 The cost for junior camp is $335.00, if you register before February 1st you will save $50.00 This year you can register online and just be sure to join your registration up with Calvary Baptist Church of New Bern.

Summer Camp @ Villa-Parke Group D ( 11-12) - City of Pasadena
S.T.E.A.M. into fun with this innovative and dynamic summer camp. Villa-Parkes Enrichment Camp creates an exciting learning environment that explores the five core concepts of the S.T.E.A.M. curriculum: science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Each weeks activities are based on a theme. For example, during Space Exploration Week, campers may take a field trip to the Griffith Observatory, base their art projects around the solar system, do astronaut training activities for fitness and learn space themed vocabulary in Spanish. Campers do wacky science experiments, explore technology and mathematics through Lego(R) robotics in the computer lab, complete engineering challenges and attend language lessons including American Sign Language and Spanish. The camp also incorporates traditional camp arts and crafts activities like painting, drawing and beadwork, as well as ceramics instruction and the use of pottery wheels. Daily activities include at least 90 minutes of high-energy physical fitness. Specialized sports instruction is offered for both tennis and golf. Campers participate in recreational swim two times per week. Camp counselors go into the water with the campers and well-trained, certified lifeguards are always present. This very popular camp incorporates imagination, movement, pantomime, music, dance and enchanting costumes to make for a wonderful summer experience. Each week we will explore a new theme, learn basic ballet, improve motor skills, complete an arts & crafts project and enjoy a yummy snack.
