Do it up Diva - 1st-4th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Farner Get together with your girlfriends for an ultra-chic girly-girl week! We will enjoy themed days full of glamour and girly activities. Activities include a spa day, scrap-booking, jewelry making, dress up and makeup, singing, dancing, fashion, glittery crafts, social etiquette, confidence building, and lots of diva fun. August 1-4: Secret Language of Birds (Ages 5-7) - Mountain Kids!
Birds are beautiful and expressive animals that we can see and hear daily. Learning bird language opens up a whole new way of understanding our forests and what is happening around us. We will look for birds in the wild and visit the Wildlife Center for an educational program and close-up view of some beautiful raptors and other birds and mammals. Around the World in Five Days Camp - MacPhail Center for Music - Mpls
Take a musical journey around the world! In this camp, we will explore the ways that children of different cultures play music and games, tell stories, sing, and move just like us. We will "travel" to destinations such as Africa, Central and South America, Australia, China, Russia, and our own native Minnesota, with opportunities to play ethnic instruments, improvise, dance, dramatize, and create art along the way. One day of camp is held at the Mill City Museum. *If you have a younger preschooler aged 3-5 years, they can participate in POP, SIZZLE, BANG! camp at the same time. Lacey Camp (Outdoor) - REGULAR Session 4 - 2016 - City of Hanford
Grades: K - 12th This weeks theme "Red, White & Blue Week" Parents, is your child ready to have fun and make new friends this summer? If yes, then bring your child to the coolest hot spot in town. The Lacey Park Day Camp is full of fun activities for children grades K thru 6th. This is an outdoor recreation camp. Campers will learn about the benefits of being physically active; as well as, having a healthy lifestyle in the outdoors. Each week campers will engage in various group games, art projects, participate in a talent show and weekly field trips to the Hanford Teen Center, Hanford Plunge and the local Library. Free breakfast and lunch will be provided. A weekly food menu will be provided at request. If your child has a particular taste, you may consider bringing a sack lunch for your child. The park in the summer is hot, please send your child to the park with a bottle of water and sunscreen. Staff will provide an igloo of cold water for refills. Quadcopter Aerial Robotics - British International School of Charlotte
Campers will explore aerial robotics technology with fun and engaging educational scenarios and challenges. This camp offers aviation flight skills and interactive robotics training, and encourages camper interest in the career fields of Science, Math, and Engineering. Campers will build prototypes with the new technology and run test scenarios for safety, search, and rescue. Multiple teams of four will apply technology and planning to build a quad rotor designed for a specific first responder mission. Missions include: delivering pharmaceuticals to people in a disaster area, maneuvering the copter close to a (mock) hazardous waste container, and searching for a lost hiker. Campers will also perate and take home their own hand-size quadcopter at the end of the week! Price includes a $100 lab fee. 7047743016.0
