Kid's Summer Yoga Camp - Canby, OR
Balance and Harmony is happy to announce our first summer yoga camp for children ages 3-5. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Children will bring a packed snack and we will enjoy time outside at Wait Park. Taught by Sherry Wolfson. Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate. She began teaching preschool and special education over 30 years ago and has taught yoga to preschoolers at Childswork Learning Center in Portalnd for the past 3 years. Classes will be held for 5 weeks (July 1st - 29th) on Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00. Fee-$150 for all 5 days. Fall Teen Adventure Weekend - West Branch, MI
Canoe trip on the Au Sable River with overnight lodging at YMCA Camp Timbers. Co-ed, ages 13-17. Join YMCA Camp Timbers staff for a TEEN ADVENTURE WEEKEND canoeing the Au Sable River! The weekend begins with a Friday night stay at Camp Timbers before launching on the Au Sable River Saturday morning. After spending Saturday canoeing the river, participants return to Camp Timbers in the evening to enjoy S’mores around a campfire. The weekend ends with debriefing, unpacking, and a sampling of adventure activities at camp on Sunday. Cost is $75 for Y members and $90 for non-members and includes: meals, lodging, use of canoeing gear, transportation between Camp Timbers and the Au Sable River, and programming. Teens Summer Camp Half Day session 8 - Alliance Francaise Los Angeles
Teens dive deep into French in our summer immersion classes. Every week, students will focus on improving French reading, writing and conversation skills. Grouped according to age and level, our highly trained teachers will lead teens to pick up communication skills while exploring Francophone culture. Open to all levels of Middle and High School French. These camps will help students in transition from Middle to High School, review past materials, get a head start on new material and skip a grade level. This is the perfect introduction to chemical reactions for curious middle school students! Each day, students will learn about the chemical interactions of atoms and molecules using hands-on lab activities, group activities, and class discussions. All materials will be provided, but students should wear clothes that are appropriate for lab activities. Kristen Tordillos teaches biology, physical science, and honors biology at Seattle Prep.
