Serving underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students who have talent and interest in mathematics and science is a high priority of the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. We believe that we must actively recruit from all regions of the state of Illinois. In addition, we believe we must address the challenges of underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students through contact and intervention in the form of academic enrichment programming. The Integrated Science Program is a competitive application program, for students who have completed 8th grade and 1 year of pre-algebra and who are interested in application to IMSAs Residential High School Program. Tennessee Teens Rock & Roll Camp (TNTRC) is a summer day camp for girls and boys ages 10-17 held in Murfreesboro, TN. TNTRCs mission is to support a culture of positive self-esteem and collaboration among young people while building community through music. Adventure Camp - Week 5 - The Greenwell Foundation
Adventure Camp (ages 8-12 by first day of camp session). Why is Adventure Camp different? Campers are provided the opportunity to explore further into the park with longer hikes, shelter building, and learning how to build a campfire – and then Smores! Part of Adventure Camp is letting the group direct what activities they would like to do by coming up with new and exciting adventures. The staff has the freedom to be creative when making these fun adventures come to life. Campers will have an opportunity to kayak twice during the week, including a visit to the Hollywood Oyster Company. They will create and run their own unique obstacle course, go fishing and crabbing from the pier, and build their own boats out of recycled materials and test to see if they are sea-worthy. Mid-week, campers will hike to the Manor House area where they can build forts with bamboo, explore the gardens, play water games and capture the flag, visit the Barn and participate in our Nature Time program.
