Arbys No Kid Hungry Campaign - Hope Mills, NC
Arby's is doing it again for the third year but at Arby's location. This year we will be holding different event at the Hope Mills Location to raise money for the No Kid Go Hungry Campaign from August 18 -September 28, 2015. Since 2011, the Arby's Foundation has been a national charity partner of Share Our Strength*s No Kid Hungry* campaign (NKH). As NKH's largest quick service restaurant partner, the Arby's Foundation has raised over $5 million in the past two years to support NKH and other hunger-fighting organizations in the communities that Arby's serves. Activities are plan as follows. Daily Business Spotlight From August 18 -September 28, 2015 Vendors will check in with the manger of the store and set up in designated area Arby's will have a business spotlight section where the vendors can set up there displays. Honors Pre-Calculus - Hopkins Campus
This course is open to Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB after completing Honors Geometry; Blake students who have successfully completed Honors Algebra II and Honors Geometry and who seek to enroll in AP Calculus AB; Students from outside Blake who seek to complete the equivalent of a full-year Honors Pre-Calculus course during the summer. They must possess a strong foundation in algebra because the course contains advanced material and moves at a rapid pace; it is not recommended for remedial purposes. Before registering, Blake students must obtain their teachers permission to advance, as indicated by a signed Mathematics Acceleration Contract. Successful advancement requires a grade of B or higher on each of the comprehensive exams given during the summer course. This course emphasizes functions and their characteristics. Topics include: function notation and transformations; combinations and compositions of functions; linear, quadratic, polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions; and analytical trigonometry. In addition, sequences, series, parametric equations and limits are introduced in preparation for calculus. Located in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia, Horseshoes Adventure Camp is a week you will remember for a lifetime. Adventure Camp is a 6 day residential camp with 3 hot meals a day served family style. Many activities are available from fishing, creek adventure, dance, arts and crafts, library time, sports, and swimming just to name a few. For the week of July 5th, there is no class on July 4th. When adding Before Care, After Care, or Lunches, you will select additional quantities to cover the full 3 weeks as needed. Theres something for every young theater artist this summer at SJC! Boys and girls entering 3rd through 8th grade will be divided by age to learn a broad range of performance skills, including acting, singing, and dance. Campers will continue to challenge their imaginations with classes in improvisation, playwriting, and production design. Our professional staff of New York theater artists and educators will lead the groups through creative exercises to build an ensemble where every camper gets the chance to shine! Both of our 3-week camp sessions culminate in a unique performance showcase open to family and friends.
