Nurture In Nature is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization whos mission is to enrich and empower the lives of children and adults with disabilities by connecting them to nature. We are excited to partner with Camp Tuolumne Trails this summer and offer sponsorship for 20-30 children between the ages of 5-13 years to attend camp. We believe in creating an environment conducive for healthy, natural exploration of the outdoors, therefore we sponsor a support person to attend camp with our campers. Support personnel can be a parent, caretaker, or sibling familiar to the camper to help ease the transition to the outdoors. Our services focus on children residing in Stanislaus, Tuolumne, Mariposa and San Joaquin counties. If you are interested in having your child participate in our program please contact Jeanah Nomelli at 209-606-9712 or to further discuss your childs needs to ensure eligibility for the upcoming free of cost 2016 summer program , set for July 10-13. We will fill spots on a first come first serve basis for 30 campers. Students create original works of art, working with sound, video, and/or media installation. Instruction covers techniques for shooting video, studio lighting, recording sound, 2-d animation, green screen compositing, and the basics of video and sound editing. Students utilize the computer labs, hardware and sound studio facilities of the Mason Gross School of the Arts media area. The intensive will culminate in a public showcase of student artwork produced in class. Monday - Friday, 9am - 4pm Pick-up begins: 8:45am Drop-off ends: 4:15pm Girls will design and build furniture projects for the Womens Daytime Drop-In Center, a local safe haven which offers free services to homeless women and their children. Along the way, girls will learn skills in woodworking, welding, fabrication, and masonry to design a meaningful project for their community, to work in multiple materials, and bring ideas to life. Please note: Week 1 and 2 will offer the same content. Please enroll in only one. Snacks will be provided. Full lunch option is available at an additional $25 cost. Enrollment is limited to 20 girls.
