Explorer or thrill seeker, experience a summer of adventure that will invigorate your spirit. Designed for teens ages 13 and up, getaways are a great way to meet new people. Learn the art and science of fishing from a true expert. We will be escaping the Valley heat by traveling north to some of the best hidden fishing holes where fishing is at its best. Participants will be provided with transportation, fishing pole, and bait. Bring a large lunch, a lot of water, your valid AZ fishing license and appropriate clothing for the weather (close-toed shoes are required). *Pre-registration is required.

2016 Walk A Kid To Camp (-athon) - Puyallup, WA
The Salvation Army is hosting a walkathon to raise funds to help send children to summer camp. We offer several camp sessions lasting from three to eight days for children of various ages. Your child will be supervised by caring on-site counselors.There are three types of camping experiences for children ranging in age from six to sixteen which include; residential camps, day camps and teen wilderness camps. We need help raising the funds to supporting sending children to camp. Join us June 4 and help us send children to summer camp.

We will play games, fish, roast hot dogs, marshmallows, etc. Breakfast and Sunday School will be at the ahelterbhouse as well. If the weather is too cold we will move to the gym and have a "lock-in." All youth are asked to attend Sunday morning service, and can g picked up around 11:45 at the church.

This is the Place Heritage Park Art Camp (Session 2) - This is the Place Heritage Park
Join us as we take art to This is the Place Park. We will meet on location and will set-up our drawing boards to sketch pioneer-era architecture, gardens, and people in period costume. We will use several mediums including: pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, markers, and ink. This is a great time to learn new art techniques while spending time outdoors and learning about Utahs history. We will provide all the supplies as well as a VAI t-shirt for all students. You will need to come prepared with a water bottle, sunscreen (already applied), hat, and small folding chair. 801-474-3796

Each week we focus on learning the rules and history of a sport, playing it at least once each day. Old camp favorites such as dodge ball, capture the flag, four square, and pirate ball are incorporated into the program as well. However, Fundamentals Sports Camp is not only about the games we play but it is our "off the field" curriculum that sets us apart form other sports day camps. Informal discussions on sports current events, character-building, sportsmanship, and choosing role models are held daily. Fundamentals teaches children the value of teamwork and commitment which are the essential elements of success in sports, as well as in life. Students participate in team building activities while learning to delegate, rely on others, and practice decision-making skills.
