Want to work outside this summer? Are you an outdoor program looking for potential employees? Come to the University of New Hampshire's annual Outdoor Jobs and Camp Fair Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Granite State Room of the Memorial Union Building at UNH. More than 40 employers representing non-profit outdoor and environmental agencies, commercial outfitters, summer camps and international travel companies will attend this year's fair to recruit summer and full-time employees. Some representatives conduct on-the-spot interviews. The fair, which is free for job seekers and open to the public, attracts more than 400 students and others from diverse academic fields, including outdoor education, nursing, natural resources, recreation management, theatre arts, business, and equine sciences. Attendees can win raffle prizes donated by local businesses. This is a great opportunity for networking and obtaining employment or employees early on in the hiring season. Civil War Officer Training Academy - Historic Travellers Rest
A-TEN-TION!!! CADETS, FALL IN!!! Officers Training Academy is now accepting enlistments for a week of drills, tactics, military strategy, and flour-bomb battle reenactments. Learn how Civil War officers trained their soldiers, prepared for battles, and entertained themselves during downtime. All cadets will be loaned a soldiers uniform and wooden training rifle for the week. Bring a parent for the academy camp-out on Friday night, have a soldiers campfire breakfast, and attend the graduation ceremony on Saturday morning.
