Designed with the collaborative workshop model in mind, campers will enjoy an in-depth exploration of two essential tech tools: Scratch programming and Lego stop animation. Using MITs Scratch programming language, fundamental concepts will be taught so campers can start creating stories, games and animations and even try applying some of these skills to games like Minecraft. Well then investigate tricks of the trade for creating Lego stop animation movies so campers can make their very own flicks. The week ends with a culminating workshop day for students to tweak and expand existing projects. No previous experience necessary; just come with curiosity and readiness to have fun! Well you are all invited to come on the annual Youth Winter Retreat What if Jesus meant something very different by the concepts of heaven, hell and salvation from how we have been taught and understand them? Pastor Larry DeVuyst will lead us to tackle these questions and more as we work through our retreat study from Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins, for Teens.
