Sewing camp is a wonderful opportunity to learn a new skill that will last a lifetime! In this sewing camp, your child will learn a variety of hand-machine-sewing skills. They will learn to comfortably use the sewing machine and practice basic sewing stitches. We will make projects such as pillows, iPod holders, tote bags, aprons, draw string bags, book covers, water bottle holders and more. As a final project, campers will learn the art of quilting. We will provide all the colorful, beautiful fabrics, and the materials. On Friday, the campers will prepare snacks and lunch as part of their camp experience. SUMMER CAMP WEEK #12 - The REALM
Week 12: Dare to…THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX Our last week, in true REALM fashion, will be a crazy, zany, fun-filled week of thinking Outside the Box. Breakfast for lunch? Sure! Painting with our nose? Why not! Building a raft to sail at the beach? Of Course! This week will be filled with surprises – put on your seatbelts and away we go! (310) 399-1139
Boys Basketball - Sanford Day Camp
Stan Waterman will be the head coach for our Basketball program. Stan is the head basketball coach at Sanford since 1991. Under Stans direction, Sanford won multiple State Championships. Stan played point guard at the University of Delaware and is the Dean of Students at Sanford. He is considered to be an outstanding teacher of youth. Stan utilizes both courts of the Sports Center to set up stations for dribbling, passing, jump shooting and foul shooting. The afternoons are used for small team play. 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, etc. By the end of the week, all players are participating in full team scrimmages. Players can expect a good workout every day. -------------- LOCATION: Sanford School. Please drop your child off at the Sports Center at 8:45 a.m. Pick up will be in the same location at 3:15. --------------- WHAT TO BRING: Light-weight, loose fitting shirts, shorts, socks and sneakers. Water Bottle Bathing suit and towel for free swim in the afternoon. Lunch, unless purchasing from Camp. ($35.00/per week) A drink will be provided for all by the Camp. An afternoon icy treat will be served. --------------- At the end of Sport/Specialty Camp registration, you can register your child for Day Camp at: 610-565-4850
B.O.A.T.C.A.M.P. aboard the Capt. George - Plum Island Point
Our week long programs aboard the Capt. George seek to inspire nature connection through a maritime lens. Well explore the coastal ecology of Ipswich Bay and the Gulf of Maine each day, and carefully plan our days according to observed weather, tide and sea conditions. Above all else, we focus on keeping kids safe, warm (or cool!), and happy. We always depart the dock with a plan, and always change the plan as the day unfolds, as Mother Ocean and Mother Nature always leads. When she offers up something unexpected--a pod of dolphins frolicking across our path, feeding gannets, hungry bluefish and mackerel--we are very willing to change plans to make for the best experience possible. SESSION 3 - JULY 5-15 Disneys 101 Dalmatians – A Musical Theater Production Camp! Disneys classic animated tale of kidnapping villains and courageous puppies is adapted in this fur-tastic musical adventure. Pet owners Roger and Anita live happily in London with their Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anitas former classmate the monstrous Cruella De Vil plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen. 3rd - 8th Grade For kids who are entering 3rd-8th grade in the Fall of 2016 Full day camp: 8:45am - 3:45pm 9-day Camp Fee: Early Bird - $350, General - $360 ($370 on or after May 15) 3 Performances: Friday, July 15 at 2pm and 7pm, Saturday, July 16 at 2pm 408-244-5437
