Basketball Week 8 - Knott Hall
Playing in a state-of-the-art field house, with four basketball courts, basketball camp at Loyola is designed to improve the fundamental offensive and defensive skills of each player in a fun, yet competitive setting. The camp is geared to improve the skills of the beginning player and the more advanced player. There are four basic goals of the camp: 1. Each camper has an enjoyable experience 2. Each camper loves the game more by the end of the week 3. Each camper improves his/her skills 4. Each camper learns how to continue that improvement after the camp. During the camp day, campers will participate in station sessions with work on fundamentals, 2 camp contests, 2 games, a shooting session, and 1 film or pool session. Loyolas varsity head coach, Josh Davalli, leads these camps. He was an all league player in the Baltimore Catholic League and played Division I basketball at Towson University. Bee Hive Camp - Red River Valley Fair
Campers will get down and dirty learning about bees while building wooden beehives at the Red River Valley Fair. Campers will learn how to construct our precut beehive building stations: box station, framing station and painting station. In-between building beehives, a bee specialist will teach the campers about bees and their habitat. Request t-shirt size on the registration form. Meet at the Schollander Information Building. Intergalactic Mission - Venice Lutheran School
Outer Space Adventure with Us and Learn Spanish. Enter the time machine once again and leave earthly worries behind because there is no time like the future to discover what awaits us in other galaxies. Its a strange world of changing realities and campers learn all about how to survive by using their senses. Campers transform into aliens with unique features and devices that help them thrive in outer realms of space. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook and discover the joys of learning Spanish while playing sports too. Theme vocabulary includes colors, counting, verbs, nouns, adjectives to describe the power of our senses. Celebration Day Wednesday (participation optional) Campers express their alien spirit with their absurd alien ­inspired hairdo. During camp choice time campers find their alien ‘relatives according to hairstyle and create their unique alien group ‘Survival Guide. Notes: There may be options for arranging late pick up the same day. You will be notified of these options the week prior to camp start. Patriot Park (Full Day) - Patriot Park
D.C. Uniteds Satellite Camp programs provide participants aged 5 – 16 to experience an exciting soccer environment consisting of modern camp exercises, high-level skills demonstrations, and small-sided competitions. Campers will be exposed to a different set of technical and tactical focuses each day of camp. Coaches will work with players to develop their technical ability as well as discover a better understanding of the game in a fun and energetic environment. All participants will receive an official D.C. United camp ball, an official camp t-shirt, a ticket voucher to a D.C.
