Reading Rockets - Penncrest High School
Reading Rockets is a program designed to be an early intervention for students going into first, second, or third grades. The goal of this program is to provide additional support for students who could benefit from reinforcement in reading skills over the summer. Reading Rockets will help minimize the regression in skills that sometimes occurs over summer vacation. Youth PeeWee Camp - 6 weeks in June & August - Doral Arrowwood
PeeWee golf camps are designed for younger junior golfers and can range from as young as 4 years old to beginning juniors up to age 7 (and sometimes even 8). Our PeeWee camps focus on an introduction to the game and the fundamentals (those first three letters, F-U-N, being very important), all in an atmosphere that fosters learning and sportsmanship. Camps will touch on all aspects of the game of golf and include full-swing, short-game, and putting as well as rules, etiquette, what to expect on the course. Learn basic navigation to participate in the fun hobby of Kayak Geocaching! Geocaching is a real life treasure hunt using a device that has GPS. Use charts, compasses, navigation, and GPS to track your kayak path. Make an item to let other geocachers know weve discovered a particular treasure, participate in the first ever NESS geocache kayak trail and go geocaching in different locations around Stonington and beyond! Unfortunately, parents dont get Spring Break like kids do, so we are now offering a safe and fun place for your child(ren) from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on March 21st-25th! Daily field trips, fun activities and sports opportunities will keep your child busy. Each day will center around a different theme. Two locations available.
