We are focused on helping campers and their parents to become aware of a unique higher education institution called Florida College. Florida College centers its education around God and His Word, Alabama Camp centers its summer camp activities in the same way. We are not a church camp, but rather a group of Florida College alumni and friends who are eager to provide an environment of summer fun, while remembering who we are as Gods creation. Because of this, we have certain expectations of both our staff and our campers. Please be sure to read these expectations and explain them to your camper if needed. We are certain this will be the best week of your year! Registration is based on your current grade. By Camp in July your camper needs to be finished with the 4th Grade. Not all camps are co-ed. There are some single-gender camps available in addition to traditional co-ed programs. Single-gender camps are great if parents want their children to focus on empowerment and independence. Blossom into some creative art fun! Using several different art processes, your young artist will create larger than life flowers, hotels for fairies, garden stepping stones, a butterfly bath and more. Strummin for Fun - Building B Performing Arts Room
Strummin For Fun Ages 7-11 Beginner and intermediate players welcome! Well learn the basics of guitar playing by engaging in fun musical games and creative group activities. Our lessons will include learning to play melody by reading notation and TAB, chords and mini-chords, strumming patterns, song form, improvisation, songwriting and singing, and an exploration of various guitar styles. Your child will look forward to each days challenge and excitement and build a summer full of special camp memories! This traditional day camp experience will include swim lessons and free swim time, weekly activity themes, camp craft skills, nature study, sports & games, arts and crafts and special events. There is an Open House on Friday, June 24 from 3-5:30pm at Greenwood Childrens Center and Greenwood Park.
