She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2010 and received her Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Practical Theology at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA. She now serves as the Mission Immersion Director for Raleigh Youth Mission, and through her ministry with youth she works to name creative gifts and profound truths in their lives, most often through music, art, prayer and laughter. What is a Presbytery Youth Retreat? -A time for middle school youth (grades 6-8) from across our Presbytery to gather for the experience of Christian fellowship. -An opportunity to play, study, worship, sing and serve in a beautiful setting with their peers. -An opportunity for youth to see the Church of Jesus Christ beyond the local congregation and take that experience home. -A chance for the First Presbyterian youth group to grow closer through a shared experience. Fins Spring Break Camp - Christiansburg Aquatic Center
Join us during spring break for Fins Camp! Dye eggs, swim in the pool, play games with friends and more! Camp hours are 8am-5pm. You may drop your child off as early as 7:30am and pick them up by 5:30pm. Creative Movement and Rhythm Grades PK-1 (Tuesday) - Janney Elementary School
Ms. Pleasance will be leading our youngest students to develop physically, social and emotionally, all while using their bodies. We will integrate stories, music, and yoga. Students will learn how to express and communicate in various ways, while having FUN! Each child will have opportunities for expression with stretching, movement, creativity, and play. Uniteds Satellite Camp programs provide participants aged 5 – 16 to experience an exciting soccer environment consisting of modern camp exercises, high-level skills demonstrations, and small-sided competitions. Campers will be exposed to a different set of technical and tactical focuses each day of camp. Coaches will work with players to develop their technical ability as well as discover a better understanding of the game in a fun and energetic environment. All participants will receive an official D.C. United camp ball, an official camp t-shirt, a ticket voucher to a D.C.
