My kids were able to experience a lot of different things at Camp Tecumseh this summer. They have the usual camp activities, but they also have rock wall climbing, archery, riffly, tube slides, a nature center, candle making, disc golf, fishing and a mini farm. This is a "family friendly" service opportunity; however, much of the work is not suitable for young children. Scout troops and YM/YW are strongly encouraged to attend. Cabins are available at no cost for those wishing to go up the night before. Tent camping is also available. Reservations for both can be made online at: https://www.hulacocamp.org/newsite/

I have been invited to be the Lead Speaker at this Year’s Youth Leadership Camp being held by The Christ United Methodist Church and Mississippi Families for Kids on the June 27, 2016 starting at 9:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. I am so honored that I have have been asked and I look forward to Empowering our Leaders of Tomorrow with the Encouraging of Words of God. In addition, to utilizing my life experiences, professional knowledge and expertise to inform participants of what is necessary to achieve their goals and how to become successful adults. It is my desire that youth will be able to reach inside of themselves to identify those strengths that will be the driving forces for their futures. So, on June 27, 2016 come out and help us..... Empower our Youth.... I do hope to see you there.
Send A Kid 2 Camp - Clinton Township, MI
On April 19th @ 6PM we will be hosting a "fun"draiser at the Stray Cat Lounge in Clinton Township. $10 cover charge gets you a buffet style pasta dinner. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a Silent Auction. All monies raised will go to Kids Burn Camp at YMCA Camp Manitoulin. It takes $500 to send one kid to camp but the return on investment is priceless.

In this course you will shoot films with iPads and find out how easily you can combine professional filmmaking with modern technology. Youll put to use new skills to film and edit. making your final projects look slick and professional. Working with a professional filmmaker youll pick up techniques to establish moods, create tension, compose gripping shots, time your actions. Youll find out how effectively you can turn your funny, weird, creative and thoughtful ideas & stories into short films - and then upload to Vimeo for public viewing. Week 4 PM - Coastal Crusaders - Wuskenau Beach
Become a coastal crusader as you explore the coastline by kayaking, boogie boarding, stand-up paddle boarding, and identifying snorkel spots through local chart navigation readings. Analyze coastline changes, sift through ways to prevent beach erosion, and discover coastal ecosystems. Take the first exciting step in learning to surf by practicing your stance, balance, paddle technique, duck dives, and get a taste of riding waves. Includes: taste of surfing, kayaking, boogie boarding, stand up paddle boarding, snorkel adventures, playing in the salt pond and the ocean. 860-535-9362

This one day camp will feature live batting practice, infield and outfield instruction, baserunning, numerous skill drills. Players will be separated by age and skill level: 6-9 year olds and 10-13 year olds. In this program, you will work on developing skills and strengthening game performance so that you will have more success and fun on the playing field!
