Kid's Summer Art Camp at SCGA: July 25 - July 29 - Sumter, SC
Mon, July 25, 2016 - Fri, July 29, 2016 Summer Art Camp at the SCGA Morning Classes: 9:00am - 12:00pm: Bugs ‘n’ Blooms (Ages 4-7) Shrink down to explore the world of creepy crawlers and fabulous flowers! Students will be introduced to the beauty and fun of insects and will explore their environments in a class where art meets science. Young entomologists will create a variety of 2D and 3D forms using materials from nature and an army of art supplies using paint, collage, clay, printmaking, mixed media, and more. Come bug out with us! Storytellers (Ages 4-7) Storytelling helps students improve their language skills, instills a love of reading and stirs imaginations. In this first-time class, talented professor of visual art Jennifer Pepper will guide students through painting, drawing and mixed media activities based on a variety of classic and contemporary children’s stories. Recycle-O-Rama (Ages 8-12) Students will be guided through using everyday recycled materials to think creatively, outside the box, and exercise their imaginations using unusual and recycled everyday objects like scrap wood, water bottles, used cardboard and plastic, styrofoam, aluminum foil, string, rope, toilet paper & paper towel rolls and more to create one-of-a-kind “Outsider Art” projects. Youth Camp Easter Breakfast Fundraiser - Bel Air, MD
Remix Youth would like to invite you, your family, and your friends Easter morning to our Youth Camp Breakfast Fundraiser! Our menu includes: pancakes, sausage gravy, biscuits, fruit, donuts, muffins, coffee, and juice. Youth Camp can be a life changing week for our teenagers! However, it can be a financial burden for some. The cost for camp this year is $275 per student. The cost includes travel, housing, meals, and secondary health insurance. We want to remove as many obstacles as possible that would prevent a student from attending camp. All donations received at our Easter breakfast will go toward students in need of financial assistance. Thank you for your investment into the lives of our Remix teens! And we promise you will leave full and happy. :)

Ghouls, Ghosts, and Goblins-Scary Movies - Morgan Park Academy
Lights, Camera, Action! As a group, we will write our own scary story-perhaps based on a true MPA ghost tale! Then, we will assemble costumes, props, and special effects. The setting is the very creepy MPA campus. We will stage, film, direct, and star in our own horror movie, sign up if you dare. 773-881-6700

March 25: Spring Break Science - Summit Schools
Join Summit Schools staff and our community partners for a day on of fun, interactive activities at Learning Extensions Camp, also known as In-Service Day Camp. -Theme: Spring Break Science. Well explore, create, experiment, discover, and engineer all in the name of science! -Experiment with soil science and composting methods as the C.R. Solid Waste Agency teaches us about landfill engineering. -With the Cedar Rapids Water Department, well test water quality, PH levels, and more as we learn about the science of water. -Summits own art teacher, Miss Carol, will have us discovering the science of art through messy and fun art experiments. -Alpaca Fiber Arts will teach us all about alpacas and llamas as we create felted take-home soap and/or coasters. Dream On! - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
One of Shakespeares most famous tales comes to life in this special adaptation of "A Midsummer Nights Dream" designed especially for tweens! This show takes the fear out of Shakespeare, bringing the characters vividly to life with abounding comedy and an outstanding musical score. The basic story remains intact, but is updated with modern vocabulary and music to make it accessible for everyone. This show has many speaking (and singing) roles to introduce students to your favorite characters. From the "rude mechanicals" Quince and Bottom and all the rest to the two sets of "lovers" that prove nothing has changed when it comes to teens having a "crush" on each other, to the wonderful fairy King and Queen with the energetic and mischievous Puck, there is a part for everyone! Beginning and Advanced Inline Skating - The Evergreen School
Beginning skaters will be taught the basic foundation of skate moves which includes striding, stopping, and turning. Additional skills taught include the "rules of the road", how to fall properly, and various tricks. To enroll in the advanced camp, children must have previously taken one of Skate Journeys beginning camps. Skate Journeys provides the proper sized SEBA skates for each child plus all the protective gear (except for helmets). Please provide your child with a helmet.
