*** Note: This week is intended only to the Full Time (10 week) registrants!! What better way to wind down the summer at the Coon Rapids Ice Center than with a week devoted to SUMMERs OLYMPIC GAMES EVENTS and HOCKEY (Ice Hockey, Floor Hockey) And with the Closing Ceremonies there will be an All Sports theme when not doing Hockey coupled with an awards ceremony for all these Active Kids hard work. Featured Field Trip : Twins Game vs. Detroit Tigers, Thursday, August 25 FYI - The actual day camp runs from 9:00am-4:00pm though kids are welcome to get dropped off as early as 7:00am and picked up as late as 6:00pm. Tae Kwon Do Summer Camps 2016 - Main Clubhouse
Tae Kwon Do Camps 2016 Each day campers will participate in one of the following themes; Ninja Camp, Demo Team, Sparring and Kicks & Tricks. Ninja Camp - Focuses on balance, focus and extreme movements. Demo Team - Students will learn the key tools for developing the proper physical and mental attitude. Sparring - Using fast twitch muscles, combination kicks, pivoting and changing stances. Kicks & Tricks - Blending martial arts and gymnastic practice aerials, 540s round offs, Chinese butterfly kicks, kip ups and 360 spin kicks. Hideout Theatre Improv Camp - Post Camp - Week 1 - JCC Campus
Improv Camp is the perfect place for the budding comedian, drama queen, or hilarious ham. We have a blast playing improv games, learning how to tell stories on the stage, and creating fabulous scenes. In the end, we take all of this and show it off in a final performance. This camp creates a fun and supportive environment for kids to learn the basics of creating improv, storytelling, and stagecraft. The curriculum is taught through games, play, and improvised stories. Saint Frances Cabrini School 2016 Spring Production "Suessical Jr." Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Hortons challenge is twofold - not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg thats been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!
