Instructor: One on One Basketball () Room: Blacktop After School Hoops® is a weekday afternoon basketball program for aspiring young players. The one hour instructional sessions combine fundamental skills instruction with organized team competition with the goal of providing an enjoyable and educational after school athletic event. Developing players benefit by improving their individual skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and defending while, at the same time, learning how to work within the framework of a team. Boys and girls of all skill levels are encouraged to join. One of the many merits of After School Hoops® is that it provides school children with an organized after school event at which they can learn, socialize, and most of all, have fun. Parents and teachers often express concern that idle and unsupervised after school hours provide too many negative temptations for their children. Ice Town- Carlsbad - Ice Town Carlsbad
Registrations are now being accepted for Ice Town Carlsbad: Sunday March 20th April: 3, 10, 17, 24 May: 1 from 11:30am- 12:30pm 2016 Lil Kings Program requirements: Participant must be between the ages of 4-8 as of March 12th, 2016. 2013, 2014, and 2015 Lil Kings participants are not eligible. Participant must have no prior ice hockey experience. This program is for first time players only. CCM equipment will be professionally fitted and picked up at the Official Lil Kings fitting event. Additional details on the official Lil Kings fitting event will be sent out after your registration is confirmed. The LA Kings highly recommend skating lessons before the Lil Kings event. Please contact your local ice rink for details on learn to skate programs. Using traditional and modern acting techniques, we will explore the dynamics of drama through the use of scene work. Your teaching artist will assign scenes from both contemporary and classical theatrical plays/musicals as you learn to expand your talents through the help of others. Instructor: John Leddy "Summertime fun begins at Spartan Quest, (formerly known as Sports Camp). This class will run for all 10 weeks of summer school giving your camper a consistent, exciting summer daycamp experience. We will spend the mornings doing fun things on campus like; playing games, flying kites, dodge ball, hide-n-seek, flag football, basketball, video games, etc…. We also will build our own fun when we build things like; bow and arrows from PVC pipe, marshmallow shooters, mini-golf-courses, obstacle courses, scavenger hunts, and anything else we can think of! In the afternoon we continue our fun off campus at places like; Tanganyika, ice skating, roller skating, Lazerquest, Watson Park, mini-golf, All-Star Adventures, Water Center, Bug Lady and many more too numerous to mention. This class is designed for students entering 2nd to 8thgrades who are looking for unlimited fun and adventure.
