Our Junior Academy sessions offer top quality instruction to take your game to the next level. We will work on the technical side of your game at game speed and under game pressure through exercises and competitions that will help improve first touch, receiving and playing the ball with different surfaces of your foot, passing and shooting accuracy, service over distance, defensive positioning, heading, finishing, and MORE! We will also build on your tactical awareness of the game and your understanding of runs off the ball, defensive organization and communication, along with how to deal with numbers up vs. numbers down situations. Hang with the Bears on and off the field and learn what it takes to be a Division I college soccer player. Residential campers reside in Unit 3 Residence Halls in the center of the UC Berkeley Campus. All campers dine in the state-of-the-art Crossroads Dining Center. My 16 year old daughter loved the digital summer art camp offered in Atlanta. She wants to go into Marketing in college. This program is designed for children ages 6-9 and 10-13 yrs of age. Along with athletic training to build motor skills, endurance and strength we will be doing games like 4 Square, Dodge Ball, Water Balloon Tag, Corn Hole, Jail Break, etc. Full Day of Camp ($119/week) is from 9 am - 2 pm, Half Day ($75/week) is 9 am - 11:30 am Mon-Fri. Skyhawks Golf focuses on building the confidence of young athletes through proper technique and refining the essential skills of the game. This camp will focus on the fundamentals of form, chipping, putting, driving and body positioning. To assist in this training, Skyhawks has adopted the SNAG (Starting New At Golf) system to its curriculum. SNAG is specifically designed for the entry-level player; SNAG simplifies instruction so that young players can make an easy and effective transition onto the golf course. This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.Extended care is offered before and after camp at Cabin John Ice for the Summer Fun Ice Skating Camp. Tool use, building and engineering, chemistry and biology, art and design, spontaneous improvisation, and healthy dose of brain and body play are all mixed together to form this experience. Each activity will last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes as students move from one subject to the next while making new discoveries about the diverse world around them. Students will learn to create human, animal or monster sculptures with papier mache. They will start by creating an armature from wire and newspaper. They will learn the best types of glues and to keep the mess to a minimum and speed drying times. We will use colored and painted papers for the final layer. In the last session, details will be added with a wide range of craft materials. The will learn how to create impressive sculptures that can be adapted for a range of school projects.
