A reading and writing camp designed for 3rd – 5th grade girls. In a guided reading setting the girls will read and discuss childrens literature that focuses on building girls self-esteem. The curriculum includes a daily writing activity that will focus on grade appropriate writing skills and a creative art activity related to each book we read. We will also spend time outside playing games that will build positive friendship skills. Each day will include a snack, lunch and pool time. DeAnna Huffines graduated from Saint Marys in 1983 from high school and 1985 from College. She then attended Meredith College where she majored in education. She has been working with Wake County Public Schools at the elementary level for 18 years and has a small tutoring business on the side. 9194244028.0

Join Kate Tempestas Urban Golf Academy to PLAY Golf! Our dynamic methods include combining a variety of child-friendly, modified equipment with traditional equipment in a mixture of fun, creative golf drills and games. Players learn and practice the four basic shots which provides an overall introduction to golf fundamentals including how to hold a golf club, proper swing posture, proper set up, aim and alignment, as well as rules and etiquette. Foothills Adventure is built on the same tried-and-true principles as our Foothills Day and Fun Camps, but developed specifically for middle school aged youth. Longer hikes, more sophisticated games and activities, weekly challenges with Foothills Camp staff...the fun doesnt end with Foothills Day anymore! An overnight on the first Thursday of the session is a must, but Foothills Adventure takes campfires and night games to a whole nother level. NEW IN 2016 - Swimming on the last Friday of camp ends the session on a perfect note. Get ready for a Foothills Adventure you wont forget!
