Would your children benefit from an early introduction to the upcoming middle school curriculum? Then the Amp Camp is just what they need. The Amp Camp, led by SCDS Middle School Learning Specialist, Mr. Benjamin Ford, will help set your child up for success. During Amp Camp 6th, 7th, and 8th grade campers will learn how to implement specialized study strategies to help them be more confident and better prepared for middle school. Each student will gain insight on how to be more organized and thoughtful about their study habits while also getting a jump start on the best way to engage challenging concepts and content. Amp Camp is a great way to help students prepare for their re-entry to school. Amp Camp is open to SCDS and non-SCDS students. Please note that Mr. Ford will gladly help students make the transition to their afternoon camp. 912-961-8859

Created for the camper who is looking for experiences you cant normally get at home or in the city, campers in this program will not only learn how to apply stories about Jesus, but also get safe, counselor-led instruction in several western activities alongside a great group of kids their age. Maker Station-Integrated Science & Art - Amador Elementary School
MAKERS STATION Come build with us this summer! Your child will be working with a variety of materials in a STEAM maker station. Students will create their own science or art projects. They will also deconstruct items and study reverse engineering to examine how things work. Our station includes beginning snap circuits, Brackitz bionic blocks, and an introduction to coding when we build mazes for our very own Bee-Bot robot. As an added bonus in the station, we also have GoldieBlox kits to encourage more girls to get excited about building. The Maker Station encourages creativity, exploration, and innovation. In three age-appropriate groups, campers are guided in all the traditional day camp fun by our experienced staff. Activities include creative arts and crafts, drama, storytelling, music, games, gym and cooking. Frequent field trips range from area parks, movies and bowling, to the zoo, water slides and more. Make your own detective kit, keep a nature journal, play games and learn wonderful new nature songs.
