Do you have or know a hard to reach teen? Want your teen to learn discipline, teamwork, and respect? If so, bring him/her to my Teen Bootcamp! I'm an Army vet who knows the importance of these things. Let me teach your teen drill and ceremony, how to change a tire, how to communicate without using technology, and countless other important life skills. I will provide 45 minutes of life skills and 45 minutes of fitness during each session. Teen and parent must agree to participate in all eight sessions. Sessions will be held twice a week. Parents this is for you........Need to vent your concerns, need professional advice or guidance, need to know that you're not alone? Kids will explore the inner and outer world of alchemical reactions in this potent journey outdoors. Students will make friends with local plant life through learning about their unique characteristics and magical uses. [] Grades 7 - 13 Full Day Combo (Ages 7-13) Children must bring morning and afternoon snack, lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, goggles and wear tennis shoes. Campers bring snacks, lunch and beverage. Lunchtime supervision provided. Director: Kerry Winkelseth, UM School of Kinesiology. Full Day, Monday-Friday. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Curbside Pick-up and Drop-off. Staff will pick up campers from your car at 8:00 AM and deliver back to your car at 4:00 PM. KidSport offers children the opportunity to learn and refine non-competitive sport-specific, team building and social skills. The activities are age appropriate and developed by experts in childrens physical education. KidSport is staffed by certified teachers as well as physical education and education majors focused on providing a first-rate experience for your kids! James and the Giant Peach Musical - Villa Academy
Join Shea Salyer and Jacob Lucero for this years 3rd-8th grade musical, Roald Dahls James and the Giant Peach, Jr. This musical world-premiered at Seattle Childrens Theater in 2013. Auditions for lead roles will be Wednesday, January 13th from 2:15pm-6:00pm with rehearsals beginning Tuesday, January 26th, 3:00-5:30pm. Rehearsals are every Tuesday and Thursday that school is in session with performances from May 4-7th, 2016. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion which results in a tremendous peach - and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building. Jr. High 1 is still a combined camp. Registration of male and female campers is separate for processing purposes. We offer two Jr. High camps. Both of these weeks are filled with new activities as well as other favorites, including White War, horseback riding (hour and a half trail ride), basketball and sand volleyball. Allow the Lord to challenge you in your relationship with Him as you study the Bible with your counselor and camp speaker. Please note that paintball is not offered for this age group. 801-546-6672
