Nature School- Session 5 - Chico Creek Nature Center
Nature School is a first learning experience in nature. It is a drop off program designed for Pre K, TK and Kindergartners. Young first graders may also enjoy this class. All children should be potty trained and ready for an experience away from their family. Our teachers are happy to help facilitate "goodbyes" as is often needed with this age. Children learn about nature, letters, numbers, colors and shapes through crafts, songs, games, animal visits and guided exploration of the park. The teacher is trained in and uses curriculum from Growing Up Wild that meets state standards in science, literacy, math, art and STEM. Each class has a different theme. For optimum learning a full year of participation is encouraged. Classes are broken into 6 Wednesday sessions. Limited to 16 students with a ratio of 1 teacher to 8 children. The program runs 11am to 2pm. We recommend your family joins us for Natures ABCs that is 10 to 11am to help in the drop off transition. Dog Trick Week 7 - Animal Training Adventure Center
Dog Trick Training is a great way to have fun with your dog, and it allows campers to open up a genuine form of two-way communication between them and their dog. Trick training also helps build confidence in dogs and their handlers; and the more tricks you teach, the faster your dog will learn each new skill. Each session will focus on learning a series of three dog tricks, with bonus learning opportunities for exceptionally skilled dogs. This session will utilize training skills and techniques developed by Kyra Sundance, a world-acclaimed Stunt Dog Show performer, celebrity dog trainer, and internationally bestselling author. Campers will have the opportunity to learn and practice advanced dog training skills in order to train their dog to perform tricks. Campers can choose to train their own dog, or they can work with a rescue puppy or dog available at camp. Dogs must be able to focus on their owner and work around other dogs. Campers will start with beginner tricks, followed by intermediate tricks, and finally advanced tricks. Campers can register for this session as many times as they want, learning new tricks each week. Kaay Fetch: Africa Dance and Rhythm (54307P) - Cary Academy
Hear the thumping of the drum call you to Senegal, West Africa and the amazing dance and drum traditions of Africa. Learn the energetic movements, lively songs, and drumming rhythms of traditional African ballet. Design costumes and jewelry in the African tradition. Battle Camp PeeWees - Chaparral Ice
Shoot to Score Hockey and the Texas Junior Stars will be hosting the Battle Camp giving players a great opportunity to compete with and against some of the top players in their age group. Showcase your abilities and compete level to the Junior Stars coaching staff through high tempo drills, small area battles, and game like situations.
