Marlena Vendemia - Bio Marlena Vendemia worked in the corporate fitness setting before earning her M.S. in Exercise Physiology from The Pennsylvania State University. She currently holds a position as a Penn State fitness instructor working with pregnant women as part of the Healthy Moms Research Study. Most recently, Marlena earned her 200-hour registered yoga teacher certification. She found her yoga practice as a stay at home mother to her two small children. Marlena was drawn to pursue this certification due to the benefits she found through her own yoga practice. Her yoga practice has allowed her to find space, connection and possibility through the physical experience, things she hopes to help other students find as well. Her goal is to bring classes filled with truth, authenticity, love and fun to the State College community. In addition to teaching yoga at The PYP Studio, State College, Marlena also serves on the school board for Our Lady of Victory Preschool and on the advisory board for Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, University Park Campus. Teen Conditioning Camp will get kids (12-16) conditioned and ready to perform at a high level of physical ability for sports, recreation and fun!! Program is developed by Paul J. Act Out Loud! - The Little Theatre of Alexandria
Students will experience the process of creating a play from a simple idea to the performance on stage. They will get to pitch their ideas, help form and shape the storyline, write dialogue, create characters and perform for an audience. This unique class is ideal for any student interested in all the aspects of theatre. INSTRUCTOR JOHN WALDRON received his BFA in theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. As an actor, director, and instructor, he has been working in the region for over 20 years. He has directed shows at Aldersgate and MVCCT. Little Red Spying Hood Production Fee Payment - Seacoast Repertory Theatre
Little Red Spying Hood is a PAPA Youth Workshop Production and is an audition-based program. There is a production fee of $95 per student to participate in the production. Students rehearse on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-6pm and some Saturdays from 10:30am-12:30pm.
